MISSIONS: SERVE LOCALLY

Help CCA Feed Local Children This Summer
Mondays | June 1 - August 3 | Lewisville
For over 50 years, Christian Community Action (CCA) has been a lifeline for families in crisis. Through crisis management and their discipleship approach to building relationships with the people they serve, CCA brings hope where it’s needed most—ensuring that struggling families don’t have to walk alone.
But right now, as summer approaches, many children in our
community face a new challenge: hunger.
When School’s Out, Hunger Sets In
For many children, school meals are their most reliable source of nutrition. When summer break begins, so does a season of uncertainty.
- 35% of children in Denton County qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
- 1 in 5 children in North Texas faces food insecurity.
How Can We Help?
We are partnering with CCA’s Kids Eat Free Program, which will serve 1,250 children every week.
As Christians, we are called to love and serve our neighbors, and this is an opportunity to put that calling into action. You can help by serving alongside CCA as they deliver meals every Monday morning or Monday evening from June 1 to August 3.
