A Look Ahead

Did you know...

Texas is the second-largest hub for sex trafficking in the United States.

Nearly 20% of trafficked individuals travel through Texas, often along the I-10 corridor.

86% of victims are recruited by someone they know—an employer, intimate partner, family member, or caregiver.

On average, girls in Dallas enter the sex trade at age 13.

Each night, approximately 400 girls are trafficked  on the streets of Dallas.

The illegal sex trade generates nearly $99 million annually in Dallas.

How RockPointe Is Responding:

In response to the needs of those impacted by human trafficking, our church supports two local, faith-based organizations that provide support and long-term care: Refuge for Women and Restored Hope Ministries.

Refuge for Women

Refuge for Women is a nonprofit, faith-based organization providing specialized emergency housing and long-term residential care for women who have escaped sex trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers a multi-year continuum of care. Residents receive 24/7 support as they progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming—helping each woman develop a vision for her future and build a life marked by dignity and hope.

Restored Hope Ministries

Restored Hope Ministries seeks to rescue and restore women and their children affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking, human slavery, sexual abuse, poverty, domestic violence, homelessness, and interaction with the criminal justice system.

Their program provides 12–18 months of transitional housing with spiritual and practical self-help programs. Each resident is supported by a mentor and a professional counselor who stays with her through graduation and beyond.

WAYS TO PRAY

Peace • Healing • Provision

  • That residents would experience God’s peace, especially amid difficult family circumstances
  • For continued healing—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually
  • For God’s provision, trusting that He who calls His people to this mission will faithfully provide
