Understanding the Holy Spirit
Rebecca Carrell, DTS Adjunct Professor
Thursday 8/7 | 6:30-8:30p | Central Campus
Who is the Holy Spirit and what is His role? Historically, Christians have erred in one of two ways when approaching the third member of the Trinity—ignoring Him completely or chasing after His manifestations excessively. Both extremes can be avoided when we understand His role in God’s grand plan of salvation.
God's Sovereignty & Human Responsibility
Destin Garner, RPC Lead Teaching Pastor
Thursday 11/6 | 6:30-8:30p | Central Campus
Do we choose God, or does God choose us? For centuries, Christians have wrestled with this tension—God’s absolute sovereignty on one side, and human responsibility on the other. Calvinism and Arminianism offer competing answers, but both aim to uphold the mystery of salvation. Lean too far in either direction, and we risk distorting the gospel. Clarity comes not by choosing sides, but by embracing the wonder of a God who draws us—and yet calls us to respond.
