Our Values
At RockPointe Church,
we're committed to…
Reaching People
We believe that outreach represents the heartbeat of God. Therefore, we value
reaching others because all people matter to God. (Luke 5:30-32;
Luke 15;
Matthew 18:14)
Creativity and Relevance
In today's rapidly changing world, we believe that our ministry methods are flexible,
not our Biblical principles. Therefore, we value being Biblically sound and culturally
relevant. While maintaining our principles, we will regularly evaluate and change
our forms of ministry to remain relevant to our times. This includes the concept
of adherence to Biblical principles and sensitively relating to our culture through
our facility, printed materials, and use of the arts. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
Excellence
We believe that our God is a God of excellence who deserves the best we have to
offer. Therefore, we value pursuing excellence in everything because it honors God
and inspires others. This includes the concepts of evaluation, critical review,
intensity, and excellence. (Colossians 3:17;
Malachi 1:6-14;
Proverbs 27:17)
Teaching the Word of
God
We believe that God has set forth plainly in the Scriptures truth that touches every
part of life - showing us how to know the Truth and how we can be set free by it.
Therefore, we value anointed teaching as the catalyst for transformation in the
life of the individual and in the life of the church. This includes the concept
of teaching for life change. (Romans 12:7;
2 Timothy 3:16-17;
James 1:23-25)
Small Groups and Bible
Study
We believe that small groups and Bible study represent the best method for establishing
the kind of relational community that strengthens and supports the Christian journey.
Therefore, we value small groups and Bible study as the best way for bringing about
life change. This includes the concepts of discipleship, vulnerability, and accountability.
(Luke 6:12-13;
Acts 2:44-47)
Full Devotion
We believe that Jesus Christ set an example of sacrificial service that pleased
His Father and touched the world. Therefore, we value living a fully devoted life
as the normal expression of the Christian life. This includes the concepts of modeling,
stewardship, servanthood, multiplication of ministry and the pursuit of Kingdom
goals. (1 Kings 11:4;
Philippians
2:1-4;
2 Corinthians 8:7)
